About Jessie
Jessie is the Fox Maiden. She lives in a peach coloured cottage deep in the woods. Jessie is shy like the foxes that are her friends. She prefers to stay cozy in her pottery studio. Jessie gathers clay from the rivers edge, cleans it, and uses it to build mugs, bowls and teapots and other useful things. Once a month she travels to a near by village to sell her wares at the market. In the woods, she likes to curl up in her bed and read books, and she likes to bake treats for herself and the foxes. "
Inspiration
Briana is inspired by paper dolls AND dollhouses. In this book , she decided to combine these two fascinations after learning about scrapbooks victorian children would make (see image below) . They would cut out pieces of furniture and paste them in a scrapbook to build paper rooms for their dolls. This book is Briana's version!
Colour in the clothing, cut out, and use the tabs to hang the clothes on your dolls.
Use the pocket int he back (looks like a dresser or cabinet!) to store loose parts like clothing and the doll.
Colour in the detailed rooms and use them as a "dollhouse" for your paper doll.
Because paper doll kits are a cutting activity, this book is recommend for people 6 years old and up. Cutting assistance may be required.
