About Scarlet
"Scarlet is a mermaid who lives in the "Coral Cottage." Her favourite thing to do is read books about plants and flowers while soaking in her tub. (Yes, mermaids take baths too!)
Sometimes she transforms into a human and ventures on the land to find more plants for her underwater collection. She also searches for natural history books at a nearby vintage market. "
Inspiration
Briana is inspired by paper dolls AND dollhouses. In this book , she decided to combine these two fascinations after learning about scrapbooks victorian children would make (see image below) . They would cut out pieces of furniture and paste them in a scrapbook to build paper rooms for their dolls. This book is Briana's version!
Colour in the clothing, cut out, and use the tabs to hang the clothes on your dolls.
Use the pocket int he back (looks like a dresser or cabinet!) to store loose parts like clothing and the doll.
Colour in the detailed rooms and use them as a "dollhouse" for your paper doll.
Because paper doll kits are a cutting activity, this book is recommend for people 6 years old and up. Cutting assistance may be required.
