Travel to Sable Island With Artist Briana Corr Scott

Join Nova Scotia artist and author Briana Corr Scott as she returns to host a drawing workshop on the remote location of Sable Island National Park Reserve. Get out in the wild to draw and paint the wild horses and seals plein air, set in the beautiful landscape of this incredible ribbon of sand in the North Atlantic. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a newcomer to the canvas, this experience is tailored to help you create incredible artwork and memories of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

After a scenic plane flight over the colourful fall foliage of Nova Scotia’s coastline, we’ll touch down on the white sand on the south beach of Sable Island. We’ll then spend the next eight hours with Briana exploring and sketching wildlife, landscapes and history of Sable Island and expressing what you see on paper.

With Briana as your teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to refine your skills and learn techniques and tricks for drawing in nature, while learning how the act of drawing helps strengthen your travel memories of a place. Throughout the adventure we will stop, sit and draw for 30 minutes at a time at diverse locations so you have ample time to unleash your creativity.

Share your work at the end of the day with a group show-and-tell for feedback. After the tour, everyone receives a custom Sable Island gift pack from Briana and Picture Perfect Tours. Plus your photo guide with Picture Perfect Tours will share their professional photographs with you so you can continue your artistic renderings of Sable from home.
