Briana is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work has appeared nationally and internationally in print, television and film. She creates paintings, picture books, animations, products and surface patterns.

Briana fell in love with Sable Island on her first visit in 2017, and wrote her first picture book “She Dreams of Sable Island,” (Nimbus Publishing, 2019) about the experience. Sable island is a source of inspiration for many of her books, images and poetry. Briana’s projects all come from the experience of working from life, that is, painting what you can see with your eye, on site. All of her projects begin in this way; walking in nature and drawing what she can see or find. Drawing is a mediative act, and while she draws the wild horses, wind swept grasses, birds, seals and waves, lines of poems come to her calmed mind. She is excited to share this process of creating memory through this Drawing workshop in collaboration with Picture Perfect Tours.
