Briana Corr Scott
was born in Salem, MA and grew up in New Hampshire. Her love of painting and drawing began early in life, and continued during her studies at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. At MassArt Briana studied Painting and Museum Education, and graduated in 2005.
Briana moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 2006 where she lives and works with her husband and 3 young children. She makes still life oil paintings of objects from nature. Her moody paintings are images of flowers, shells and bones wrapped in a glowing light. Her work is shown regularly at Argyle Fine Art in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Briana is preparing for her third solo exhibition.
